Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO)
The Summit Parent/Teacher/Student Organization is committed to enhancing your student's high school experience. Membership dollars are used to support academics, athletics, band, fine arts, and a growing number of programs available to SHS students.
Our goals are to help everyone achieve more by:
- Establishing and maintaining a working relationship among parents, school and community.
- Supporting school improvement teams and promoting the finest education possible for the students.
- Expanding technology and supplementing equipment and supplies.
- Increasing student safety and security.
- Developing programs and projects that will support or enrich the curriculum.
- Enhancing the quality of education by raising funds for school supplies or programs that fall outside the school budget.
PTSO TEAMS
TEAM- Together Everyone Achieves More!
Class of 2026, 2027, 2028, and 2029
TEAMS is an incredible program that allows us to build a strong community relationship within our grade levels and school. Each grade level will have their own TEAM (example, for the 2025-2026 school year, Freshmen are TEAM 29, Sophomores are TEAM 28, etc). There is an annual fee that is included with each TEAM each year.
What Are the Fees For?
Fees are used to purchase small gifts for all the students. Freshman through Junior students will receive two gifts (one per semester) and Seniors will receive 4 gifts (one per quarter). These gifts could range from key chains, lanyards and pens to tumblers, shirts, magnets, food treats and more. All monies leftover at the end of the year will roll over and stay with their TEAM. When a TEAM arrives at their Senior year, they will use the fees toward Senior events (senior breakfast, pre-graduation party night, yard signs, etc). The goal is to slowly build their monies from Freshman to Senior year so that we may provide our students with fun activities and give them memories that will last a lifetime. This also eliminates PTSO asking parents for additional monies Senior year for the Senior party as we know the purchasing of cap/gown, invitations and pictures is already an expense.
Each TEAM has a President, a Treasurer and a Secretary, along with Members. These committees plan the gifts, events, etc for their TEAM. Each TEAM will host two staff luncheons and also has a Facebook page!
Also, by joining a TEAM, you are automatically a member of Summit High Schools PTSO. So, please consider joining your student's TEAM and remember each year their membership will need to be renewed.
